The difference between a stalled lift and a moving one is often a kilo a week. Fractional change plates are how you take it: solid rubber plates from 0.5kg to 2.5kg that turn 2.5kg or 5kg jumps into steady, sustainable progress on pressing, Olympic lifts and everything that stalls first.

Each weight follows the IWF colour convention — white 0.5, green 1.0, yellow 1.5, blue 2.0, red 2.5 — and steps up in diameter as it steps up in weight, so one glance at the bar tells you exactly what is loaded. The all-rubber construction is kind to your bar’s sleeves, quiet on the rack, and stacks flush against bumpers without clang.

Is the price for one plate or a pair?
A pair — each weight ships as two matched plates, one for each side of the bar.

What does the full set include?
One pair of every weight — 0.5, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0 and 2.5kg — 15kg of change plates covering every increment from 1kg to 15kg in 1kg steps, at a discount over buying the pairs individually.

Why rubber instead of metal change plates?
Rubber is kind to your bar’s sleeve finish, quiet when loading, and sits flush against bumpers without the clang and chip of cast iron. Prefer the classic feel or finer 0.25kg steps? Our cast iron fractional plates run 0.25–2.5kg in eight weights.

Will they fit my barbell?
Yes — the 50mm bore slides onto any Olympic barbell, including our Elite Camo and Harden Chrome bars.

Why are the diameters different per weight?
Deliberately — the size grading (135mm up to 210mm) plus IWF colours means you identify every plate on the bar instantly, and all five sit well inside a 450mm bumper’s diameter so they never touch the floor.

Who are fractional plates for?
Anyone whose lifts have outpaced 2.5kg jumps — pressing progress lives in 1–2kg steps. They are standard kit for Olympic lifters, powerlifters chasing meet-day openers, and coaches running precise percentages.
