Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Gi

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Gi | IBJJF Approved BJJ Gis & Pants

Dragon V2 450gsm BJJ Gis and 10oz Ripstop BJJ Pants in White, Blue and Black

A Brazilian Jiu Jitsu gi is built to be gripped, pulled and dragged across the mat, so it needs a strong jacket weave, a reinforced collar and pants that survive knee-heavy training. This collection covers gis and replacement pants for BJJ students, competitors and academies.

We stock the Dragon range from Morgan Sports: the Dragon V2 BJJ Gi in white, blue and black, and matching Dragon ripstop BJJ pants. Both are IBJJF approved, so they can be worn in training and at IBJJF-rules competitions.

How to Choose a BJJ Gi

• Jacket weave and weight: the Dragon V2 jacket is a 450gsm pearl weave, a lighter weave that stays cool and dries quickly while still standing up to grip fighting. Heavier weaves feel stiffer and warmer.
• Competition rules: IBJJF events allow white, blue or black gis, and the jacket and pants must be the same colour. Some academies also ask beginners to train in white, so check with your coach first.
• Sizing: BJJ gis use M sizes for kids (M-3 to A-0) and A sizes for adults (A-1 to A-4). Check the size guide on each product page, and allow for slight shrinkage in cotton by washing cold and hanging to dry.
• Spare pants: pants usually wear out before the jacket, especially at the knees. Lightweight ripstop pants are an easy replacement and also cut overall gi weight for in-gi weigh-ins.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are these gis IBJJF approved?
Yes. The Dragon V2 BJJ Gi and the Dragon BJJ pants are listed as IBJJF approved. Wear jacket and pants in the same colour, as IBJJF rules require a matching gi.

Does the gi come with a belt?
Yes. Each Dragon V2 gi includes a Pro BJJ white belt and a gi bag. Coloured BJJ belts are sold separately in our Martial Arts & BJJ Belts range.

Which size should I order?
Use the size guide on the product page. Cotton gis can shrink slightly, so wash cold, hang to dry and go up a size if you are between sizes.

Can you add our academy logo?
Yes. Our uniforms can be embroidered with a front logo, kanji and round logo, or back logo. Contact us with your artwork, placement and quantity before you order; per-uniform pricing is on each product page.
