Fitness Hero Warranty Policy
Fitness Hero (JD Collective Pty Ltd) stands behind the equipment we sell. This page sets out the warranty periods that apply to our products, how to make a claim, and what is and isn't covered. These warranties are provided in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Your Rights Under Australian Consumer Law
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
How To Make A Warranty Claim

Contact us with your order number, a description of the issue, and clear photos or video of the fault.
- Claims are assessed case by case. Where a claim is approved, we will repair, replace or refund the product in line with our obligations under the Australian Consumer Law.
- You bear the initial expense of making a claim (such as postage or transport). If the product is confirmed faulty under warranty, we will reimburse reasonable return freight costs.
- Warranty periods run from the date of delivery, apply to the original purchaser, and are not transferable.
- If an item arrives damaged in transit, contact us immediately, keep the original packaging, and photograph the damage.
Home Use vs Commercial Use
Home use means use in a private residential setting with no commercial connection.
Commercial use means use in any setting connected with a business or organisation, or usage patterns materially similar to a commercial environment - including gyms, studios, PT facilities, schools, clubs, workplaces and community facilities.

*No-bend warranty: covers structural failure and manufacturing defects. Bending is not covered, and nor is damage from dropping a bar on rack pins or safety arms, dropping with iron plates onto hard surfaces, insufficient bumper cushioning, rust from improper storage, or alteration. Cosmetic wear to coatings and knurl from normal use is not covered.

QLI Fitness Equipment products carry QLI's manufacturer's warranty from the date of invoice. It covers replacement of parts confirmed as defective; worn parts and consumables are not covered. In line with QLI's terms, the warranty does not apply where the equipment has not been used and maintained as set out in the instruction manual and product specifications, where regular maintenance and inspections have not been carried out, where it has been stored or used improperly, or where it has been modified or repaired without authorisation, fitted with non-genuine or aftermarket parts, or repaired by someone who isn't certified to do so. Claims are lodged with us and assessed with QLI.

Flooring and mat warranties cover manufacturing defects: delamination, splitting or crumbling not caused by use, jigsaw or bevelled edges that don't fit on arrival, and product that is out of specification on size, thickness or density. They do not cover compression marks or dents from equipment left standing on the surface; cuts, gouges or tears from dragged equipment, footwear or sharp objects; colour fade or surface change from sunlight or UV exposure; surface wear, scuffing or shine from normal use; movement, gaps or lifting at joins caused by an uneven, dirty or unsuitable subfloor; damage from solvents, harsh cleaners or incorrect cleaning; damage from flooring laid in standing water or without adequate drainage outdoors; or damage arising from an installation method not recommended on the product page. Because flooring is sold by the tile or roll, warranty is assessed per affected piece rather than across the whole floor.

Sting Sports products carry Sting's own 180-day manufacturing warranty from the date of invoice, covering the structural integrity of the product - major production faults and damage present before delivery - when the product has been used for its intended purpose and reasonably cared for. In line with Sting's policy it does not cover: use outside the product's original intended purpose; normal wear and tear (including the expected impact wear on contact items like gloves and mitts); cosmetic damage; misuse; incorrect installation or assembly; improper storage such as moist conditions or direct sunlight; poor maintenance; alterations that affect intended use; claims outside the warranty period; or claims without proof of purchase. Claims are lodged with us and assessed with Sting.

Soft-goods warranties cover faults in materials or workmanship present at the time of supply - failed stitching or seams, buckle, lever or strap hardware defects, delamination of padding or foam, and product that is out of specification on size. They do not cover normal wear and tear from training use: hook-and-loop losing grip, neoprene or foam compression, leather or synthetic surface wear, fading, odour, stretching, or damage from sweat, heat, incorrect washing or storage. Because these items are worn and used at high intensity, wear is expected and is not a defect. Sizing is the customer's responsibility - measure against the size chart on the product page before ordering. Where a brand's own manufacturer warranty is longer (for example Sting Sports, above), the brand warranty applies.
All Other Products
Unless a longer period is listed above or on the product page, products carry a minimum 12-month warranty. Where a product page states its own warranty schedule, the product page terms apply.
General Exclusions
- Normal wear and tear, and consumable or wear components beyond their stated period
- Cosmetic issues from normal use - scratches, coating wear, fading and similar marks that do not affect function
- Rust or corrosion caused by storage conditions or lack of basic care
- Damage from misuse, neglect, accident, alteration, improper assembly, or failure to maintain the product
- Products used outside their stated ratings or intended setting (for example, home-rated equipment in a commercial facility)
Care & Maintenance
- Keep equipment in a dry environment and wipe down after use - sweat and chalk left on steel will mark and corrode finishes
- Check that bolts, fixings and moving parts are tight and in good condition regularly; re-tightening hardware is normal maintenance
- Replace worn or damaged components before further use
- For barbells: store horizontally or in a rack, don't leave loaded, and use bumper plates on appropriate flooring for dropped lifts
- For flooring and mats: lay on a clean, level, dry subfloor; clean with mild detergent only; don't leave heavy equipment standing on EVA mats long-term; and use the right thickness for the training - dropped bars belong on 30mm rubber, not on a 5mm roll or a 2cm foam mat
- For belts, gloves, mitts, head guards and wearables: wipe with a damp cloth and pH-neutral cleaner, lay flat or open to air dry after every session, keep out of direct sun and hot cars, never machine wash or tumble dry neoprene, leather or foam-padded items, don't strike abrasive surfaces with gloves or mitts, and don't do push-ups on the knuckles in gloves
