Onyx Judo & BJJ Mats, Tatami Puzzle Mats, Roll-Out Foam and Morgan Takedown Mats

A cage is only as good as the floor inside it. If you order an Onyx floor cage as Cage Only, or you're re-flooring an existing cage or the training area around it, these mats give you a safe surface for takedowns, scrambles and ground work.

The range covers solid vinyl-covered Onyx judo and BJJ mats, interlocking Onyx tatami puzzle mats, a roll-out foam mat that also works as wall padding, and the Australian-made Morgan Take Down & Landing Mat.

How to Choose Cage Flooring

• Solid or interlocking: solid vinyl-covered mats give a hygienic, wipe-clean surface with fewer joins. Interlocking tatami tiles are a lower-cost option that can be laid without glue.
• Thickness: 4cm is the pick for regular throws and takedowns; 3cm is an all-rounder for mixed stand-up and ground work.
• Surface: smooth vinyl is non-abrasive on skin for grappling; a tatami texture gives grip for barefoot training without mat burn.
• Coverage: measure the full footprint you need to cover, including any walkway around the cage, and order to that area.
