Speed ball training is about rhythm and consistency. Every strike should flow into the next without interruption, and sustaining that rhythm under fatigue is the specific skill the speed ball develops. Hand speed, eye-hand coordination, and the ability to keep hands moving at pace across extended rounds are all direct by-products of consistent speed ball work.

It does not replace bag work or sparring, but it adds a dimension to hand training that neither can replicate. Set it up alongside your heavy bag and floor-to-ceiling bag for a complete striking station that covers power, timing, and speed.
