Boxing Speed Balls, Platforms and Swivels from Morgan, Sting and Onyx
A speed ball hangs from a swivel under a wall-mounted platform and rebounds off the board after each strike. Keeping it moving builds rhythm, hand speed, hand-eye coordination and shoulder endurance. It is a staple in boxing gyms and works well alongside a heavy bag in a home setup.
We stock 10 inch speed balls from Morgan Sports (B2 Bomber and Aventus), Sting and Onyx, the Onyx Commercial Adjustable Speed Ball Platform, swivels and spare bladders.
What do I need to set up a speed ball?
A wall-mounted platform, a swivel bolted to the underside of the board, and the ball. The wall needs to be solid enough to take repeated impact.
What size speed ball should I buy?
Start with a 10 inch ball. It is the standard gym size and gives a good balance of size and rebound speed.
Do speed balls fit any swivel?
Most speed balls have a loop that fits standard speed ball swivels. Check the product page if you are pairing brands.
Can I replace the bladder?
Yes. Speed balls use an inflatable bladder, and we stock spare speed ball bladders.
