The Sting Viper Speed Focus Mitt is a speed mitt in the true sense: an ultra-light, expertly moulded leather pad shaped to give the maximum strike area for the minimum weight, so the holder can move, flick and reset faster than the fighter can throw. It comes out of Sting's Viper fight series - the range developed and tested at elite level for speed and accuracy work - and it's the mitt for coaches who run fast, high-rep combination rounds rather than heavy power shots.

The premium leather outer is treated for water resistance so sweat doesn't soak in and stiffen it. Inside, the Micro Quad Core system manages weight and impact, Gel Fusion handles strike energy for longer holding endurance, and a Neo Gel layer under the hand cuts fatigue and adds protection. An HD cup positions the hand correctly to reduce joint stress, and a hook-and-loop wrist strap keeps the mitt stable through fast turnovers. Sold as a pair.

Speed mitt or standard focus mitt - which do I need?
A speed mitt is thinner and lighter so the holder can move it fast for reaction and combination drills; the trade-off is less padding for the holder against big power shots. If most of your pad work is speed and accuracy, Viper Speed. If you hold for heavy hitters or do a lot of body-shot work, the thicker Armaplus is the better everyday pad.

Is it padded enough for heavy hitters?
For speed and combination rounds, yes - the Micro Quad Core, Gel Fusion and Neo Gel are there for exactly that. It isn't designed to catch full-power hooks round after round; that's a job for a thicker mitt. Hold the pad firm and meet the punch - a limp pad is what hurts wrists, whatever the padding.

Are they real leather?
Yes - a premium moulded leather outer, treated for water resistance so sweat doesn't soak in. Expect them to soften and shape to your hand over the first few sessions.

How do I care for them?
Wipe the leather and the hand pocket with a damp cloth after use and leave them open to air dry. Keep them out of direct sun and hot cars - heat dries leather and breaks down gel and foam.
