The Sting Armaplus Focus Mitts are the pads Sting builds for coaches who hold rounds all day. The striking face runs Sting's Hi-Flow Quad Core system - four layers that spread and absorb strike energy so a heavy hook doesn't travel straight into the holder's wrist - and the T3 matte outer skin takes the constant scuffing of glove leather without peeling or cracking.

Behind the pad, an HD cup seats the hand in the correct catching position and reduces joint stress, a wrist wedge stabilises the wrist against off-line shots, and a fitted finger shield protects the fingers during body-shot and touch drills. An Atmosphere airflow panel keeps the hand cool through long sessions. Sold as a pair.

Frequently Asked Questions

Flat or curved - which focus mitt should I choose?
Flat mitts like the Armaplus give a clean target for straight punches and let the holder angle the pad for hooks and uppercuts themselves - most boxing coaches prefer them. Curved (pre-bent) pads cup the glove and are easier for beginners holding for beginners. If you're new to holding pads, a curved pad is more forgiving; if you coach, flat.

Do these protect the holder's wrist?
Yes - that's the point of the Armaplus. The wrist wedge braces the wrist against shots that land off-centre and the HD cup keeps the hand in the correct catching position, so the impact goes into the Quad Core rather than the holder's joints. Still, hold the pad firm and meet the punch - a limp pad is what injures wrists.

Are they suitable for kicks?
No. Focus mitts are for punches and elbow/knee touch work only. For kicks use a kick shield or Thai pads - see the Sting Python Thai Kick Pads.

How do I care for them?
Wipe the outer and the hand pocket with a damp cloth after use and leave them open to air dry. Keep them out of direct sun and hot cars - heat breaks down the foam core and the matte skin.
