The big wheel at the top and bottom of a cable machine - where the cable turns the corner on a crossover, functional trainer, lat pulldown or seated row. When it cracks, flat-spots, seizes or starts squealing, the whole station feels rough and the cable wears out early. This 150mm nylon cable pulley is the straight replacement: a moulded nylon wheel with sealed ball bearings pressed into the hub, a 10mm bore for the M10 axle bolt and a deep groove that keeps 4-10mm cable centred.
Unbolt the old wheel, bolt this one in on the same axle bolt and spacers, and the station runs smooth and quiet again.

Four things to check against the old wheel: the diameter (measure straight across - this is 150mm; a 115mm or 100mm wheel needs a different part), the bore (10mm, for an M10 bolt), the width (23mm - it has to sit inside your pulley bracket with the existing spacers) and the cable (the groove takes 4-10mm; most gym cable is 5-6mm). If your machine uses a different size, contact us with the model code from the frame label and a photo of the old pulley and we'll source the right one.

How do I replace it?
Take the load off the cable first (stack pin out, weight resting). Undo the nut on the axle bolt, slide the bolt and spacers out, swap the wheel in with the cable seated in the groove, then refit the spacers, bolt and nut and nip it up so the wheel spins freely without side play. Run the station through its full travel by hand before loading it.
Do I need a new axle bolt?
Usually not - re-use the M10 bolt, nut and spacers from the old pulley. Replace the bolt if it's bent or the thread is damaged.
My cable machine is noisy - is it the pulley?
A squeal or grind that changes with cable speed is normally a dry or failed bearing, and a rhythmic thump is a flat-spotted or cracked wheel. Spin each pulley by hand with the cable slack: any roughness, wobble or noise means it's due. If the cable itself is frayed or the coating is split, replace it at the same time with our 6mm PU-coated gym cable.
Do you stock other sizes?
150mm nylon, the 103mm machined aluminium pulley and the 60mm idler pulley are the sizes we keep on the shelf. For 115mm, 90mm or 50mm, or a full machine's worth, contact us and we'll quote from the supplier's parts list.
