Will it fit?

Four things to check against the old wheel: the diameter (103mm - it replaces most 100-105mm pulleys, but make sure the bracket has a few millimetres of clearance around the rim), the bore (10mm, for an M10 bolt), the width (25mm - many ribbed nylon originals are 23mm, so check the wheel fits between the bracket plates with the existing spacers) and the cable (the groove takes 5-11mm; most gym cable is 5-6mm). If your machine uses a different size, contact us with the model code from the frame label and a photo of the old pulley and we'll source the right one.

FAQs

Aluminium or nylon - which should I get?
Nylon is the standard fitment and the cheaper replacement; aluminium is the upgrade. It won't flat-spot or crack, it runs quieter on a sealed bearing, and it's the wheel to fit where the station gets hammered all day or where you want the machine to look and feel commercial. Our 150mm nylon pulley covers the larger top and bottom positions.

How do I replace it?
Take the load off the cable first (stack pin out, weight resting). Undo the nut on the axle bolt, slide the bolt and spacers out, swap the wheel in with the cable seated in the groove, then refit the spacers, bolt and nut and nip it up so the wheel spins freely without side play. Run the station through its full travel by hand before loading it.

Do I need a new axle bolt?
Usually not - re-use the M10 bolt, nut and spacers from the old pulley. If the new wheel is wider than the old one, you may need to drop a spacer or fit a longer bolt so the bracket closes without pinching the wheel.

Can I use it for a DIY lat pulldown or cable system?
Yes - it's the same wheel used on commercial machines. Mount it in a pulley bracket on an M10 bolt with a spacer each side, run 6mm PU-coated gym cable and it'll handle the full stack.

Do you stock other sizes?
103mm aluminium, 150mm nylon and the 60mm idler pulley are the sizes we keep on the shelf. For 115mm, 90mm or 50mm, or a full machine's worth, contact us and we'll quote from the supplier's parts list.
