The Chest Press V2 is the Vortex mid-chest press with the geometry refined: a revised start position and pressing arc over the original design, on converging lever arms that bring the hands together as you press - the way a chest actually contracts. Seated against the back pad with the seat set to your height, you press heavy, strict and safe.

Neutral and pronated handles let you shift the emphasis across the chest, the lever arms stop at the end of the range so there's no spotter to find, and 200kg of 3mm commercial steel keeps the whole thing planted under the biggest loads on the floor.

What's different about the V2?
The start position and pressing arc have been refined over the original Vortex Chest Press for a more natural press from the bottom through lockout. The converging path and plate-loaded format are the same formula.

What is the difference between this and the Incline Chest Press?
The Chest Press V2 presses on a horizontal path for the mid chest; the incline version presses upward to emphasise the upper chest. Many gyms run both.

Do I need a spotter?
No - the lever arms stop safely at the end of the range, so members can press to failure on their own.

What plates does it take?
Standard Olympic plates - bumpers, rubber-coated or iron. Plates are sold separately.

Can I choose my own colours?
