The overhead press is the shoulder builder, and a plate-loaded lever is the safest way to go heavy on it. The Vortex Shoulder Press sets you against a supportive back pad and runs the press on a natural overhead arc, so you can load the horns and push to the last rep without a barbell to balance or a spotter to find.

Dual-grip handles let you press neutral or pronated to suit your shoulders, with textured rubber-coated grips that stay put under load. The 3mm commercial steel frame weighs 190kg and plants itself - exactly what a pressing station on a busy floor needs.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which grip should I use?
Neutral (palms facing) is the easier option on the shoulders and tends to bring in more triceps; pronated (palms forward) hits the front and side delts harder. The dual-grip handles give you both, so switch between them across a training block.

Do I need a spotter?
No - the lever arms stop safely at the end of the range, so members can press to failure on their own.

What plates does it take?
Standard Olympic plates - bumpers, rubber-coated or iron. Plates are sold separately.

What pairs with it for shoulders?
