The leg extension is the one movement that isolates the quads completely, and the Vortex Leg Extension runs it on independent plate-loaded arms, so each leg extends its own load and the stronger side can't carry the weaker one. An adjustable seat and back pad line the knee up with the pivot, and high-density leg rollers hold the shins secure through every rep.

Sealed bearings and precision pivot points keep the motion fluid under heavy plates, and a 187kg frame of 3mm commercial steel stays put on a floor that trains all day.

Why independent arms on a leg extension?
Most lifters have one quad that does more of the work on a two-leg machine. Independent arms let each leg extend its own load, so you can see and fix the difference - and single-leg sets are there without changing machines.

What plates does it take?
Standard Olympic plates - bumpers, rubber-coated or iron. Plates are sold separately.

What pairs with it for legs?

Is it suitable for rehab-style training?
