Sting MMA Training Gloves

Sting MMA Training Gloves

Open-Finger Hybrid MMA Gloves for Striking, Clinch and Grappling | Sizes S-M

The Sting MMA Training Gloves are a hybrid, open-finger glove for MMA classes, pad work and controlled sparring. You can strike, clinch and grapple without swapping gloves, which makes them a practical first pair for anyone starting MMA.

The outer is Sting's SLV3 engineered skin, built for regular training. Inside, a multi-layer moulded padding system absorbs impact on the knuckles, and a reinforced finger structure adds durability where open-finger gloves wear first. A 2-inch hook-and-loop wrist strap gives an adjustable, supportive fit, and Sting's Atmosphere airflow system helps vent heat during long sessions.

Warranty

Sting Sports products carry a 180-day (6 month) manufacturer's warranty from the date of invoice, covering the structural integrity of the product - major production faults and damage present before delivery - when used for its intended purpose with reasonable care. It doesn't cover normal wear and tear or cosmetic damage (including expected impact wear on gloves and mitts), misuse, improper storage in moist conditions or direct sunlight, poor maintenance, or alterations. Full terms are on our Warranty Policy page. Nothing here limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are these good for beginners?
Yes. They cover striking and grappling in one glove, so they suit new MMA students and anyone cross-training from boxing or Muay Thai.

Can I spar in them?
They're fine for light, controlled sparring. For harder sparring, a thicker 6oz glove such as the Sting Python MMA Sparring Gloves gives more protection.

MMA gloves or boxing gloves?
MMA gloves are lighter, with open fingers so you can grip and grapple. Boxing gloves are fully enclosed and more heavily padded, and are better for boxing-only sparring and heavy bag work.

What sizes are available?
We carry Small and Medium. Measure around your knuckles with your hand open and choose the closer fit; if you wear wraps underneath, allow a little extra room.
