The workhorse standard bar: 1.8m of solid steel at 9kg, with a soft-knurled 113.5cm grip section and 32cm of sleeve each side for a proper stack of standard plates. Long enough for bench, rows and squats in a home setup, light enough to handle and store easily, and rated to a 140kg maximum load — more than standard-plate training will ever ask of it.

Which Plates Fit?

Standard plates with a 30–31mm centre hole. Plates bored 28mm are for 28mm bars and will not slide onto this one, and Olympic plates (50mm bore) do not fit either — they belong on an Olympic barbell. Match the bore to the bar and you cannot go wrong.

Frequently Asked Questions

1.8m or 1.4m?
The 1.8m suits benching and two-hand lifts where you want width and more plate room; the 1.4m foam-grip pump bar is the lighter, shorter option for high-rep and class work.

Do I need collars?
Yes — they are not included with this bar, so add a set of standard 30mm collars to keep plates seated.

Is this an Olympic bar?
No — it is a standard (30mm) bar. If you own 50mm-bore plates or want a 20kg competition-spec bar, you want the Olympic range.
