Flexible Equipment Financing From Fitness Hero with GRENKESmith Machine + Half Rack In One | 500kg Rated Bar | Compact Commercial Footprint
Enhance your strength training with the Reload Onyx Half Rack Smith Machine — versatility, durability and performance in a compact design that combines controlled Smith bar work with free-weight movements in the front rack.
Built from extra heavy-duty steel tubing, the Onyx functions as both a Smith machine and a half squat rack: linear bearings and heavy-duty guide rods keep the 500kg-rated solid core bar gliding smoothly, while the adjustable front rack with J-hooks and long spotting arms handles barbell squats, presses and rack pulls.
Upper and lower band pegs add accommodating resistance work, the multi-grip chin-up bar tops off the frame, and six Olympic storage horns plus a barbell holder keep the whole station organised.

What exercises can I perform on it?
Smith squats, bench and shoulder presses on the guided bar; free-weight squats, presses and rack pulls in the front rack; chin-ups and pull-ups up top; banded work off the upper and lower pegs. One frame, a full program.
Can I add dip bars?
Yes — the pin-mounted Reload Dip Bar Attachment is made for the Onyx upright: solid steel parallel handles rated to 150kg, fitting and removing in seconds with a quick-release pin at any height on the hole system.
Is a barbell included?
The Smith machine's 500kg-rated solid core bar is built in. A separate free-weight Olympic barbell for the front rack is sold separately — add one with plates and we'll freight it all together.
How much ceiling height do I need?
The frame stands 220cm tall, clearing a standard 2.4m ceiling — allow extra clearance above if you'll use the chin-up bar.
Is the Onyx suitable for home gyms?
Yes — it's built to commercial spec, but the 200 x 125cm footprint suits garages and home setups with the space for it.
How does it compare to the other Reload Smith machines?
The Onyx is the pure strength station — Smith plus half rack. Step up to the 3-in-1 Smith for built-in lat pulldown and low row cables, or the Max HD for dual 100kg weight stacks and a full functional trainer.
What's the maximum weight capacity?
The Smith bar is rated to 500kg — well beyond any training load, with the safety catches to match.
