The Fitness Hero Rubber Coated Olympic Tri Grip Package puts a complete lifting setup on the floor in one order: a commercial-grade 2.2m barbell, 80kg of rubber-coated tri grip plates, and a pair of collars. The plates are precisely machined to fit all 50mm Olympic equipment - leg press machines, plate loaded machines, Olympic barbells and Smith machines - so everything in this box keeps working as your gym grows.

Tri grip plates are the easy-handling choice: moulded grip handles make carrying, loading and unloading simpler than solid discs, and the premium virgin rubber casing over a heavy-duty steel core protects your floor, your equipment and the plates themselves through intense daily training.

The Barbell

The included bar is our Harden Chrome 700lb workhorse - full 2.2m Olympic length, 195,000 PSI tensile strength steel that flexes under load and returns true, 4 bearings per sleeve for smooth plate rotation, and a precision knurl with no centre knurl for comfortable front squats and high-rep work.

The Plates

Premium virgin rubber casing over a heavy-duty steel core, with tri grip handles for easy carrying and loading. 50mm bore fits all Olympic equipment. Included sizes measure 240mm (5kg), 380mm (15kg) and 400mm (20kg) in diameter.

Tri grip plates or bumper plates - which should I choose?
Tri grip plates are easier to carry, load and store thanks to their moulded handles, and the rubber coating protects floors and equipment in general strength training. If your programme involves dropping the bar from overhead - Olympic lifts, CrossFit WODs - choose EPDM bumper plates instead: they're built to be dropped.

Is the barbell the same one you sell separately?
Yes - it's our Harden Chrome 700lb barbell, identical to the standalone listing, and the package is priced below buying the same bar and plate pairs separately, with the collars included.

Can I add more weight later?
Easily - the same Olympic tri grip plates are sold separately in pairs from 2.5kg to 25kg, and the bar's 318kg rating leaves enormous headroom. Browse the Olympic Weight Plates range to expand your set.

Should I get the 80kg or 100kg package?
The 80kg set covers most home lifters well into intermediate strength levels. If you're already lifting heavy or sharing the setup between users, the 100kg package steps up the included plate weight so you're not buying extra pairs as soon as you progress.

Will the plates fit my other equipment?
Yes - the 50mm Olympic bore fits leg press machines, plate loaded machines, Smith machines and any standard Olympic bar.

What warranty does the package carry?
The barbell carries 2 years structural warranty for home use (1 year commercial) plus 12 months on bearings; plates and collars carry 12 months. Your Australian Consumer Law rights apply on top - see the full warranty policy.
