The Sting Aurora is Sting's dedicated women's boxing glove: a narrower hand compartment, a lengthened finger cavity and a lighter overall feel, so the glove fits snugly without the fingers jamming into the end of the padding. The supple, smooth-finish outer skin moves with the hand and cushions on impact, and the Comfortline moisture-absorbent lining keeps the inside dry through a long bag or pad session.

Under the outer, Sting's Quad Core distributes the glove weight evenly so it sits balanced on the hand, and a shock-absorbent gel-infused mould disperses strike energy to cut hand fatigue. A 3-inch hook-and-loop wrist strap wraps the wrist for support and a secure fit.

Glove weight is padding, not hand size - both weights fit the same hand pattern. Sizing is one adult women's fit; wear hand wraps when you try them on, as that's how you'll train.

What makes a women's glove different?
Hand shape. A women's hand is generally narrower across the palm with a longer finger-to-palm ratio, so a unisex glove sized down still sits loose across the knuckle and short in the fingers. The Aurora is patterned on a female hand - narrower compartment, longer finger cavity - so it fits snug without being tight.

Can I spar in these?
Light, supervised sparring in the 12oz, yes. For regular hard sparring most gyms require 14oz or 16oz - see the Sting Armaplus or Sting Viper X sparring gloves.

Do I need hand wraps?
Yes - wraps support the wrist and small bones of the hand and keep sweat out of the glove lining. Sting recommends its elasticised wraps with the Aurora; the Quick Wraps are the fastest option for classes.

How do I care for them?
Pull the strap open and let them air dry after every session - never leave them zipped in a bag. Wipe the outer with a damp cloth; a glove deodoriser helps with the lining. Keep them out of direct sun and hot cars.
