Outer and inner thigh from one seat. The Vortex Abductor/Adductor covers both hip abduction (pushing the pads apart - glute medius and minimus) and hip adduction (squeezing them together - the adductor group) on one plate-loaded machine, with pads that reposition in seconds to switch between the two.
An adjustable start position adapts the range to each user, the contoured seat and back pad keep the pelvis stable through every rep, and at 1515 x 1060mm on a 160kg frame of 3mm commercial steel it's compact enough for a studio.

How do I switch between abduction and adduction?
Reposition the pads - inside the legs to push apart for abduction, outside the legs to squeeze together for adduction. It takes seconds, so both movements can run in the same session.
What do the two movements train?
Abduction works the glute medius and minimus - the muscles that stabilise the hip and shape the side of the glute. Adduction works the inner-thigh adductor group. Both matter for hip stability, squats and running.
What plates does it take?
Standard Olympic plates - bumpers, rubber-coated or iron. Plates are sold separately.
What pairs with it for hips?
