The Solaris Olympic Decline Bench Press Station is the decline barbell press done properly: a fixed decline pad with its own integrated bar rack and foam leg rollers that lock the lifter in, so lower-chest work gets a real station instead of a tilted bench dragged into a rack. Hook the legs in, unrack, press, re-rack.

Each upright carries two J-hook heights so different arm lengths get a clean unrack, and four Olympic plate horns - two behind each upright - keep the loading plates at the station instead of on the floor. The leg rollers hold the hips and knees so the body stays put on the decline, which is the whole reason decline pressing feels so strong.

Built from commercial-grade steel at 90kg with a powder-coated finish and a high-density foam pad, it's planted under heavy pressing and made for years of daily use.

Key Features

  • Fixed decline bench with integrated rack: a dedicated lower-chest station - no tilted-bench-in-a-rack compromise.
  • Foam leg rollers: lock the lifter in place on the decline for a stable, safe press.
  • Two J-hook heights per upright: a clean unrack for different arm lengths and pressing styles.
  • 4 Olympic plate storage horns: two behind each upright, keeping plates loaded and off the floor.
  • High-density foam pad: firm under heavy loads, PU leather cover.
  • 90kg commercial steel frame: stable under max-effort presses, with protective floor feet.
  • Powder-coated finish: 16 frame colours and 12 upholstery colours available on made-to-order builds.

FAQs

What muscles does the decline bench press work?
Mainly the lower chest (sternal head of the pecs), with the triceps and front delts assisting. Most lifters press more on a decline than flat, which makes it a strong accessory for overall chest development.

Is the decline adjustable?
No - the pad is fixed at its decline angle for a stable, dedicated pressing station. For flat and incline pressing see the Solaris Olympic Flat Bench Press and Solaris Olympic Incline Bench Press, or for a multi-height rack that takes an adjustable bench, the Solaris Olympic Super Rack.

What are the leg rollers for?
On a decline your body wants to slide toward the head end. The foam rollers hook over the shins and under the knees to hold you in position, so you can brace and press without fighting the angle.

Does it fit a standard Olympic barbell?
Yes - it's built for a standard 7ft (2.2m) Olympic bar. Bar and plates are sold separately - see our Olympic barbells and Olympic weight plates.

Where do the plates go?
Four Olympic (50mm) plate horns, two behind each upright, so the loading plates stay at the station and off the floor.

Does it need to be bolted down?
At 90kg it's stable free-standing for normal use. If your facility requires floor anchoring, ask us before ordering and we'll advise on the best approach for your site.

Can I customise the frame and upholstery?
Yes - made-to-order builds are available in 16 frame colours and 12 upholstery colours on an 8-12 week lead time. See the full colour chart below.

Do you offer delivery and installation?
Yes - Australia-wide delivery, with professional installation through our own technician team in Sydney. Contact us to discuss freight access and site requirements.
