EPDM Rubber Gym Flooring | Pink Fleck 15mm [1m x 1m]

EPDM Rubber Gym Flooring | Pink Fleck 15mm [1m x 1m]

1m x 1m x 15mm | Approx. 13.5kg Per Tile | Fire Tested - Efl (SGS) | Slip Tested to AS4586:2013

The Pink Fleck EPDM Rubber Gym Flooring is a commercial-grade 1m x 1m x 15mm rubber tile weighing approx. 13.5kg. One tile covers one square metre, giving you a shock-absorbent, non-slip floor that dampens noise and vibration and helps extend the life of your weightlifting and fitness equipment.

The base is highly compressed SBR rubber granule bound with a strong PU binder, at 1000kg/m³ density and 62 Shore A hardness, and the tile will not bend or deform. On top is a pink fleck layer of EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer), a synthetic rubber that protects the tile against water and dirt. The tiles resist heat, ozone and weather for indoor or outdoor use, are fire tested to Efl by SGS and have been tested for non-slip safety under AS4586:2013.

15mm or 20mm?

Our 1m x 1m EPDM tiles come in two thicknesses, built the same way: highly compressed SBR rubber granule with a PU binder, an EPDM top layer, 1000kg/m³ density, 62 Shore A hardness and bevelled edges. The choice comes down to thickness, weight and colour.

• 15mm (this tile) - approx. 13.5kg per tile, in Red Fleck, Black, Green Fleck, White Fleck, Blue Fleck, Grey Fleck and Pink Fleck
• 20mm - approx. 18kg per tile, a thicker and heavier tile in Grey Fleck, White Fleck and Black

Both thicknesses are made for the same spaces - Cross Training boxes, home and commercial gyms, workshops and playgrounds. Whichever you pick, keep to one thickness across a floor so every join sits flush. Not sure which suits your space? Contact us and we'll help you choose.

Technical Specifications

Fire & Slip Tested

These EPDM tiles have been independently tested by SGS to the EN 13501-1:2018 fire safety standard, and tested for non-slip safety under AS4586:2013. The fire certificate can be supplied on request for fit-out, tender and compliance documentation.

An Efl classification makes the tiles suitable for use in commercial gym environments - added assurance for gym owners, facility managers and commercial fit-outs that need compliant flooring.

How Many Tiles Do I Need?

Each tile is 1m x 1m, so one tile covers 1 m². Multiply the length and width of your floor in metres to get its area in square metres - that's your tile count. Add a few spare tiles for cuts around walls, columns and equipment.

For example, a floor area of 24 square metres takes 24 tiles plus spares. Flooring a bigger space? Contact us with your floor plan and we'll work out the tile count for you.

Installation Tips

1. Prepare the area: the subfloor should be clean, dry, level and free of dust or debris
2. Lay from a corner: start in one corner and butt each tile tightly against the last so the bevelled edges meet in a neat join
3. Cut to size: trim edges and cut-outs with a sharp utility knife and a straight edge, scoring several passes rather than forcing one
4. Secure if required: for commercial gyms and high-traffic areas, secure the edges with adhesive or heavy-duty tape for extra stability

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this tile suitable for weight training?
Yes. The tiles are shock absorbent and made for home and commercial gyms with heavy equipment and high-impact training, and the right flooring helps extend the life of your weightlifting and fitness equipment. If you're planning a dedicated drop zone for loaded barbells, contact us before you order and we'll recommend the right set-up.

Can I use these tiles outdoors?
Yes. The tiles are made to resist heat, ozone and weather, so they're suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.

Are the tiles slip-resistant?
Yes. They have been tested for non-slip safety under AS4586:2013 and give a non-slip surface for gym environments.

Can you supply the fire test certificate?
Yes. The tiles have been independently tested by SGS to EN 13501-1:2018 and achieved an Efl fire classification - limited flame spread and low ignitability. Contact us and we'll send the certificate through.

Do I need to glue the tiles down?
Not always. The tiles can be loose laid in many home gyms. For commercial gyms and high-traffic spaces, secure the edges with adhesive or heavy-duty tape for extra stability.

Yes. They come with a 2 year manufacturing warranty - see our Warranty Policy for full terms. Our goods also come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
