The Sting Power Gel Sports Mouthguard is a dual-layer boil-and-bite guard built for boxing, kickboxing, Muay Thai and MMA. The upper is lined with an impact-absorbing gel that sits against the teeth and gums, backed by a firmer EVA and TPE outer shell at a contact-sport-specific 8mm thickness - thick enough to take a clean shot, shaped so you can still breathe and talk between rounds.

Because it's boil-and-bite, it moulds to your own teeth at home in a few minutes and holds that shape session after session. A hygienic carry case is included so it isn't rattling around loose in your bag.

Fitting Guide

Follow the instructions in the pack - the basics are: bring water to the boil and take it off the heat, drop the guard in for the time stated on the packet (don't over-soak it), lift it out, let it cool for a couple of seconds so it won't burn, then seat it over your upper teeth, bite down firmly and suck in to pull it tight against the gums. Hold for around 20 seconds, then cool it in cold water. If the fit isn't right, you can usually re-boil and re-fit once. It should stay in place with your mouth open and not need your teeth clenched to hold it.

Is this an adult or junior size?
This listing is the adult guard, which Sting sizes for ages 11 and over. Sting also makes a junior version for ages 10 and under - contact us if you need the junior.

Can I use it with braces?
No. Boil-and-bite guards mould around the teeth and will grip braces and damage them on removal. Ask your orthodontist for a braces-compatible guard.

Is it legal for amateur boxing competition?
Most federations require a mouthguard and prohibit red or partly red guards (so a cut can be seen). This Black/Green guard meets that colour requirement, but always check the current rules of your governing body before you compete.

How do I care for it?
Rinse in cold water after every session, brush it with a toothbrush and mild soap, dry it and keep it in the case. Never leave it in a hot car or near a heater - heat will soften it and ruin the fit. Replace it if it cracks, thins or no longer sits tight.

Can I return it if it doesn't fit?
For hygiene reasons a mouthguard can't be returned or exchanged once the packaging is opened or the guard has been fitted. This doesn't affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law if the product is faulty.

Sting Sports products carry a 180-day manufacturing warranty from the date of invoice, covering the structural integrity of the product - major production faults and damage present before delivery - when used for its intended purpose with reasonable care. It doesn't cover normal wear and tear or cosmetic damage, misuse, improper storage in moist conditions or direct sunlight, poor maintenance, or alterations.
