Morgan Reaction Ball

Six-Sided Rubber Ball with an Unpredictable Bounce | 9cm Diameter

The Morgan Reaction Ball is a 9cm rubber ball with six curved sides, so it kicks off in a different direction every time it hits the ground. Because you can't predict where it will go, you have to watch it, react and move your feet to catch it, which makes it a simple tool for reaction time, agility, balance and hand-eye coordination.

Use it in warm-ups, in partner drills or on your own against a wall. It's made from non-toxic rubber, and the curved sides also let it double as a pressure-point massage ball after training.

Key Features

  • Six curved sides create an irregular, unpredictable bounce
  • Trains reaction time, agility, balance and hand-eye coordination
  • 9cm diameter, easy to catch with one or two hands
  • Non-toxic rubber
  • Suits warm-ups, solo wall drills and partner drills
  • Can double as a pressure-point massage ball
  • Small enough to keep in a gym or coaching bag

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I use a reaction ball?
Drop it or throw it at a hard floor or wall and catch it after one bounce. Start close with two hands, then progress to one hand, a lower stance or a longer distance.

What surface works best?
A hard, flat surface such as concrete, timber or a rubber gym floor gives the liveliest bounce. Soft mats and turf will soak up most of it.

Can I use it for massage?
Yes. Morgan notes it can be used as a pressure-point massage ball, for example rolled under the foot or between your back and a wall.

Is it good for groups?
Yes. It's a low-cost way to add reaction work to a class warm-up, and partners can throw it to each other off a wall or the floor.
