The Morgan Foam Katana is a padded training sword for beginners and junior classes. A lightweight wooden core is covered in 6mm black foam to soften contact, and it has two hand guards plus a plastic tip for added protection during supervised practice.

At 40" (102cm) long with a 26cm handle, it gives students a realistic katana length to learn grips, stances and cutting patterns. It isn't made for sword-on-sword clashing: striking two together can break the light core. For that kind of practice, choose a wooden or polypropylene bokken.
