Martial Arts Grading Tape (12MM X 13.5M)

Martial Arts Grading Tape | 12mm x 13.5m

Adhesive Belt Tape for Stripes and Tipping | Red, Black or White

Morgan Martial Arts Grading Tape (sold in the Yamasaki range) is an adhesive tape for marking progress on a student's belt. Schools that use a progressive grading system add a stripe of tape to show a student has moved up a level before they've earned the next coloured belt.

The tape is 12mm wide and comes on a 13.5m roll, so one roll covers a lot of students. It's designed to hold on martial arts and BJJ belts over the long term, and it comes in red, black or white to suit your school's syllabus.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is grading tape used for?
Instructors wrap a stripe of tape around a student's belt to mark progress between full belt gradings. It's common in kids programs and in BJJ, where stripes are added to the rank sleeve.

Which colour do I need?
BJJ academies commonly use white tape on the black rank sleeve. Karate and other styles vary, so check your school's grading syllabus.

Will it stick to a BJJ belt?
Yes. The tape is designed for both martial arts and BJJ belts.
