The Solaris Seated DY Row is built on the rowing technique of bodybuilding legend Dorian Yates - a lower pulling angle than a traditional row that drives the load into the lower lats, rhomboids, rear delts and traps. It's the movement behind one of the thickest backs in the sport's history, engineered into a machine.

The chest-supported design takes the lower back out of the lift and makes strict form the default, while the angled pull path keeps tension exactly where it belongs through the full range. With an Olympic plate-loaded system and precision bearings, it loads as heavy as your strongest lifters can row - safely and under control.

Built on a commercial-grade steel frame at 160kg with adjustable high-density chest padding and ergonomic non-slip grips, it's made for high-traffic commercial floors and serious home gyms.

What is a DY Row?
A rowing style named after six-time Mr Olympia Dorian Yates - pulled at a lower angle than a traditional row, which shifts the emphasis into the lower lats and mid-back. It became famous for building back thickness, and this machine replicates the movement with chest support and a fixed path for heavier, safer lifts.

What muscles does it target?
Primarily the lower lats, rhomboids, traps and rear delts, with the biceps assisting the pull.

Is it suitable for beginners?
Yes - the chest support makes strict form automatic, so it works for a first-timer learning to row and an advanced lifter going heavy on the same day.

What plates does it take?
Standard Olympic (50mm) plates - the same plates as the rest of your floor. Plates are sold separately; add them to your order and we will freight everything together.

Will it fit my space?
The footprint is about 1.5m x 1.6m, but the frame stands 2.14m tall - check your ceiling height before ordering.

What pairs well with it for back day?

Commercial Grade custom made to order products

You can now design your own custom made equipment to suit your own requirements. Simply let us know the colour or finish you would like on the products and we will do the rest.

Once an order has been placed, your equipment will be manufactured upon request. This process generally takes around 14 days depending on the size of each product.

Once the production is finished, it can take 4-6 weeks to be delivered to Sydney. Once it has arrived in our warehouse, we will arrange shipment to your location. Prior arrangement can also be made to ship items direct to you.
