The RS11V Evolution is the sparring glove that put Rival on the map, and more than a decade on it is still the pair most coaches point to when a fighter asks what to spar in. It was the first glove built from Rival's super-rich microfibre - a synthetic that holds its shape and finish through years of gym use where lesser materials crack and peel - and it pairs that shell with a full 50mm (2") of layered foam over the knuckles. That depth of padding is what lets you and your partner go rounds without either of you carrying the damage home.

Fit is where the RS11V separates itself. A generous hand compartment lets you wrap properly and still close a full fist, while Rival's signature 15° angled cuff sets the wrist in a natural striking position. The dual-angle V-Strap Wrist Lock 2 system wraps the cuff from two directions for lockdown that stays put through a full session, and the AirFlow Control System keeps the inside of the glove cooler and drier than a closed shell. Embroidered and printed Rival graphics finish it off.

Which Size Should I Choose?

For sparring, most gyms set a minimum glove weight to protect both fighters. As a general guide, 16oz suits fighters over 75kg and is the standard sparring weight in most Australian gyms; 14oz suits 60-75kg; 12oz suits lighter athletes and juniors, or pad and bag sessions where you want a faster glove. If your coach or gym has a rule, follow it - when in doubt, go heavier for sparring.

This product is covered by a 3-month warranty against manufacturing defects - it does not cover wear and tear from normal training use, including impact wear on the striking surface. Are the RS11V gloves leather?
No - they are made from Rival's super-rich microfibre, a high-grade synthetic chosen for its durability and consistent finish. It resists cracking and peeling far better than budget synthetics and wipes clean after every session.

Can I use them on the heavy bag as well?
Yes. Many fighters run one pair of RS11Vs for everything. They are padded for sparring first, so they feel a little softer on the bag than a dedicated bag glove - if you spend most of your time on the bag, a dedicated bag glove is the better fit.

How do I look after them?
Wipe the outside down after training, loosen the straps and let them air dry fully - never in direct sun or a hot car. Wearing hand wraps every session keeps the lining fresh and extends the life of the padding.
