The RS100 is the glove Rival builds for fighters in camp. It starts with Ergonomic True-Fist Construction - a hand compartment shaped around a closed fist rather than a flat template - so the glove locks onto your hand with almost no dead space. Wrap up, lace in, and it feels less like equipment and more like an extension of your hand, which is exactly what you want when you are drilling for a fight.

Under the shell sits a layered foam system tuned to do two things at once: protect your hands and your partner over long rounds, and still let you feel your punches land. Rival's Angled Lace Track System runs the lacing along the natural angle of the wrist for true competition-style support, and the whole glove is handcrafted from Rival's Super Rich Microfibre with a soft foamed-cloth lining and a part-mesh palm for ventilation. It is a pro tool, made to be used hard and often.

Which Size Should I Choose?

For sparring, most gyms set a minimum glove weight to protect both fighters. 16oz is the standard sparring weight in most Australian gyms and suits fighters over 75kg; 14oz suits the 60-75kg range or lighter-contact technical sparring. If your coach or gym has a rule, follow it - when in doubt, go heavier.

This product is covered by a 3-month warranty against manufacturing defects - it does not cover wear and tear from normal training use, including impact wear on the striking surface. Do I need someone to lace me in?
Lace-up gloves fit best when a coach or training partner ties them for you, which is how they are used in a fight camp. If you often train alone, a lace-converter strap turns them into a self-fastening glove, or look at a hook-and-loop model such as the RS11V Evolution.

Who is the RS100 for?
Competitive amateur and professional boxers who want the most secure fit Rival makes and are prepared to lace up for it. If you are newer to the sport or spar a couple of times a week for fitness, the RS80V Impulse or RS11V Evolution will serve you well for less.

How do I look after them?
Wipe the outside down after training, loosen the laces fully and let them air dry - never in direct sun or a hot car. Always wear hand wraps, and store them somewhere with airflow rather than sealed in a gym bag.
