Empty or Filled — which should I buy?
Filled arrives ready to hang at 80kg, packed in Australia with premium material off-cuts. Empty is the shell only — fill it with fabric off-cuts, rags or old clothing packed tight, adding weight gradually until the firmness suits. Avoid filling with sand alone; it compacts rock-hard at the base.
What do I need to hang an 80kg bag?
A structural steel beam, a rated wall or ceiling bracket, or a heavy-duty bag frame — the mount should be rated well above 80kg to handle the dynamic load of full-power strikes. The supplied swivel keeps the bag turning freely.
Why a teardrop over a straight bag?
The angled underside opens up uppercuts, shovel hooks and knees that a cylinder can't take properly — it's the shape of choice for Muay Thai and boxing gyms wanting one bag that covers every strike.
