It is the ideal staff for demonstrating different forms of martial arts techniques. Since the Morgan White Oak Jo Staff is tapered, it tapers or thins at the end at around 2cm while having a diameter of 3cm at the centre.

This gives it a light yet solid feel when gripped, which is great for displaying speed and precision during training compared to a straight, non-tapered jo staff.
