Fitness Hero Training Nunchaku

Rigid Polypropylene | Ball-Bearing Swivel | Round or Octagonal

Fitness Hero's Training Nunchaku are engineered with a high-grade polypropylene exterior, high-speed ball bearings and a secure grip surface — the step up for students who have outgrown foam and are ready to train with realistic weight and feedback.

Polypropylene (PP) is a rigid, non-brittle polymer that's highly resistant to abrasion, so these handle years of drills without chipping or splintering the way timber can. At 30.5cm per handle with a 14cm chain and a solid 450g total weight, they swing and respond like a traditional hardwood pair — with far more durability.

Key Features

  • High-grade polypropylene handles — rigid, non-brittle, abrasion resistant
  • Two profiles: traditional round for smooth flow, octagonal for a more secure grip
  • High-speed ball-bearing swivel for fast, fluid rotation
  • Realistic 450g weight — trains the same control as a hardwood pair
  • Smooth easy-clean surface built for shared dojo use

FAQs

Round or octagonal — which should I choose?
Round is the traditional profile and flows smoothly through spins and hand rolls. Octagonal edges give a more positive grip and are favoured by some stylists for blocking work. Same length, weight and construction either way.

How is this different from your foam nunchaku?
These are rigid polypropylene at 450g — real weight, real feedback, for students with solid fundamentals. If you're just starting out, begin with our foam pairs and progress up.

Why does it arrive unassembled?
Police and border force regulations require nunchaku to be sold dismantled — assembled, they are classified as a weapon. Assembly takes a couple of minutes with the included pins; instructions are below.

Is polypropylene better than wood?
For training, generally yes — it won't crack, chip or splinter under repeated impacts, and the weight is comparable to hardwood, so technique transfers directly.

ASSEMBLY

Due to police and border force regulations, we must sell nunchaku dismantled, as they are considered a weapon if sold assembled.

To assemble your nunchaku:

  1. Secure one of the nunchaku handles in a vice or a similar holding device.
  2. Gently tap the small magnetic pins into place, or hold the pins with pliers and push them through.
  3. Apply a bit of force to ensure the pins are securely inserted.

Once the pins are in, they will remain securely in place.
