FAQs

How do PP sticks compare to rattan?
Rattan is traditional but frays, splinters and snaps with heavy use — clubs burn through it constantly. Polypropylene keeps the same dimensions and speed while lasting many times longer, making these the economical choice for daily training. Slightly denser feel than rattan, which many practitioners prefer for conditioning.

Are they really unbreakable?
Polypropylene is a rigid, non-brittle polymer — under normal training use it won't crack, chip or splinter the way rattan and timber can. Virtually indestructible in the dojo, though not warranted against deliberate abuse.

Can I use them for full-contact stick sparring?
They're built for flow drills, forms and controlled partner work under qualified instruction. PP carries significantly more impact than rattan, so they're not intended for contact sparring — use control and appropriate protective equipment.
