A standard Smith machine locks the bar to one straight line. The Synergy Series 3D Smith — also known as a Jones machine — frees it on two axes: the bar travels vertically and horizontally, so squats, presses, rows and lunges follow your body's natural path instead of forcing your joints onto a rail. You get the freedom of barbell lifting with the built-in safety of catches and hooks at every height.

What is the difference between a regular Smith and a 3D Smith machine?
A regular Smith fixes the bar to one vertical or angled line. The 3D version adds horizontal travel, so the bar follows your natural lifting arc — more like free weights, with the same built-in safety catches.

Can beginners use it safely?
Yes. It offers more controlled freedom than free weights, with catches and hooks for instant bar lock-off at any point in the lift.

Is the barbell included?
Yes. The Olympic bar is built into the dual-axis tracking system.

Does it come with weight plates?
No. Olympic plates are sold separately — add them to your order and we will freight everything together.

Will it fit my space and ceiling?
The frame is 2220 x 2190mm and stands 2270mm tall, so it clears a standard 2.4m ceiling. Allow extra height above if you intend to use the pull-up handles.

Can I customise the colour?
In-stock units ship as pictured. Custom frame colours are available on made-to-order builds — contact us to discuss options and lead times.

Commercial Grade custom made to order products

You can now design your own custom made equipment to suit your own requirements. Simply let us know the colour or finish you would like on the products and we will do the rest.

Once an order has been placed, your equipment will be manufactured upon request. This process generally takes around 14 days depending on the size of each product.

Once the production is finished, it can take 4-6 weeks to be delivered to Sydney. Once it has arrived in our warehouse, we will arrange shipment to your location. Prior arrangement can also be made to ship items direct to you.

Estimated start to finish process: 8 - 12 weeks
