Important — plastic clips must be purchased separately. These 20mm tiles have a buckle bottom and connect using plastic clips. The tiles do not include clips. As a guide you need one Clip Pack (6) per tile — add them using the Component selector below. Without clips the floor cannot be assembled.

The 20mm Slate Look tile pairs our brightest finish with the commercial clip system. It is the specification for studios that need genuine impact protection but do not want the room to feel like a warehouse — reformer floors with a rig in one corner, allied health spaces doubling as rehab gyms, boutique studios where members see the floor before they see the equipment.

The moulded buckle bottom clips tile-to-tile, so the floor lifts cleanly for maintenance or at end of lease. It also accepts bevelled edge ramps and corner sections, which matters more on a pale floor than a dark one — an unfinished 20mm edge is visually obvious in a bright room, and it is a trip hazard in any room.

Building Your Order

• Tile — 1m x 1m x 20mm, covers 1m²
• Clip Pack (6) — required. Allow one pack per tile.
• Edge Ramp — 50cm x 15cm x 20mm, colour matched. Measure exposed perimeter and divide by 0.5m.
• Corner — 15cm x 15cm x 20mm, colour matched. One per external corner where two ramps meet.

How Many Clips Do I Need?

Each tile edge has four connection points — one at each end and two in the centre. Because every clip is shared between two adjoining tiles, a continuous floor works out at approximately 6 clips per tile, or one Clip Pack (6) per square metre.

For a 30m² room that is 30 tiles and 30 clip packs. Add a spare pack or two for perimeter runs and cut tiles.

A Note On Light Floors

A pale floor shows chalk dust and scuffs sooner than a dark one. It mops off completely, but for heavy chalk environments our Mahogany or Grey Stone Look finishes stay cleaner-looking between mops.

Are clips included?
No. Clips are sold separately and are required. Allow one Clip Pack (6) per tile and add them using the Component selector.

Can I use 15mm ramps with this tile?
No. Ramps must match tile thickness, and 15mm ramps do not exist — ramps start at 20mm.

How is this different from the 15mm Slate Look tile?
The 15mm is flat bottom, tapes down and has no ramps or corners. The 20mm clips together, lifts cleanly, and accepts edge trims.

How much does one tile cover?
Each tile is 1m x 1m and covers exactly 1m².
