Why CPU Instead of Rubber?

Cast polyurethane is poured into a mould as a liquid and cures into a single dense shell around the steel head. Compared with the rubber coating on budget fixed bars, it is harder to crack, immune to the chipping that starts at the edges, and carries none of the rubber smell that fills a free-weight room. It is the difference between a barbell run that looks tired in eighteen months and one that still looks specified in year five — which is exactly why the warranty here runs five years.

What does ±2% tolerance mean?
The stamped weight is accurate to within 2% — on a 20kg bar that is 400 grams either way. It is what keeps left-right loading consistent when members swap between bars.

Will the coating mark my floor?
No — urethane is non-marking and quieter than iron when racked. Pair with rubber flooring and the free-weight area stays presentable.

How do I store them?
