ABS Wakizashi Training Sword

ABS Wakizashi Training Sword

Silver-Look Plated ABS | 67.5cm | 395g

The ABS Wakizashi Training Sword is the short blade of our realism range — a compact practice sword with a plated, steel-look finish for martial arts forms, sword-handling drills and demonstrations. The traditional wakizashi profile delivers a realistic short-sword feel for practitioners developing precision, control and technique.

Moulded from ABS plastic with a silver-look plated finish, it's lightweight yet substantial at 395g, and its 67.5cm length suits close-range techniques, paired sword forms and structured training. Match it with our 106cm ABS Katana for a complete daisho presentation set.

FAQs

Is the blade actually metal?
No — the blade is ABS plastic finished with a metallic silver-look plating. It presents like steel on stage and display, but it's a lightweight, unsharpened plastic trainer.

How is this different from your PPA Wakizashi Bokken?
This is the realism piece — plated steel-look finish for demonstrations, presentation and display. The matte-black PPA wakizashi is the drilling workhorse built for heavy daily use. If you train hard every day, buy the PPA; if you demonstrate, perform or display, this is the one.

Does the plating wear off?
The plated finish is durable under normal forms, demonstration and display use. Like any plated surface it will mark under repeated hard impacts — for heavy blade-contact drilling, choose the PPA wakizashi and keep this one presentable.

Is it suitable for partner work?
It's built for forms, choreography and controlled drills under qualified instruction — not for contact sparring or blade-on-blade impact work. Use control and appropriate protective equipment.
