How does this differ from your Japanese-style trainers?
This is the straight European blade profile — different geometry and handling character to our curved katana bokken and tachi. Same virtually unbreakable PP construction across the range, so pick the tradition you train.
Is it really unbreakable?
Polypropylene is a rigid, non-brittle polymer — under normal training use it won't crack, chip or splinter the way timber can. Virtually indestructible in the dojo, though not warranted against deliberate abuse.
Is it suitable for partner work?
It's built for forms and controlled partner drills under qualified instruction. It's a rigid trainer that carries real impact, so it's not intended for contact sparring — use control and appropriate protective equipment.
