Tonfa Training Baton – 58cm

Unbreakable Polypropylene | 460g | Ergonomic Guard Handle

Level up your weapons training with the Tonfa Training Baton — moulded from ultra-durable, virtually unbreakable polypropylene (PP) to mirror the traditional Okinawan tonfa used in karate, kobudo and law-enforcement style training, without the splintering or cracking risk of timber.

Lightweight, weather-resistant and built for high-repetition sessions, the textured grip mimics traditional wooden wrapping for secure handling through blocks, strikes and rotation techniques — in the dojo or outdoors.

FAQs

Is one tonfa enough, or do I need two?
Traditional Okinawan tonfa work is trained in pairs — one in each hand. This listing is for a single baton, so most practitioners order two. Solo-baton drills (police-style) need just one.

Is it really unbreakable?
Polypropylene is a rigid, non-brittle polymer — under normal training use it won't crack, chip or splinter the way timber can. Virtually indestructible in the dojo, though not warranted against deliberate abuse.

How does PP compare to a wooden tonfa?
Similar rigidity and rotation feel, far more durability on impacts, and it's waterproof — timber tonfa crack and weather; PP just keeps going, indoors or out.

Is it suitable for partner work?
It's built for kata and controlled partner drills under qualified instruction. It's a rigid trainer that carries real impact, so it's not intended for contact sparring — use control and appropriate protective equipment.

Tonfa & Escrima

Nice sticks, escrima stick seem a little thicker than I’m used to and the pattern is different, wonder how the impacts will go. Cool to find a Tonfa.
Great coms with the courier being a little slow to regional QLD.

Not bad

Fast shipping. The only thing is that, the Tonfa I received does not look nothing like the pic. But other than that, it is a Tonfa & it dose the job I guess.
